The Epiktet group, leader in home childcare with Kinougarde, continues its growth dynamic with the acquisition of Mômji, a bilingual childcare specialist.
Since its creation in 1984, the Epiktet group has built its business around the education, stimulation and support of children. Today, the company has over 40,000 family customers and employs more than 20,000 salaried staff throughout France. The group, which has enjoyed sustained growth for several years, welcomed RAISE Invest and GENEO Capital Entrepreneur to its capital at the end of 2021 with the ambition of reconciling service quality, employee satisfaction and growth.
The group has historically developed two parallel lines of business: childcare (Kinougarde brand) and tutoring (Complétude brand). In just a few years, Kinougarde has become the French leader in home-based after-school childcare (before or after school or nursery school). Complétude, for its part, ranks second in France for tutoring via private lessons at home and group lessons by videoconference or face-to-face.
Launched in 2023, a third branch dedicated to homecare for the elderly aims to address one of the major challenges of the coming decades, through the acquisition of service provider companies.
The group's success is based on proven operational know-how and a Tech team that has developed a proprietary platform and data infrastructures to constantly improve the quality of its service to customers and stakeholders, including its own intelligent assignment algorithms.
Mômji, bilingual and creative childcare specialist in France
Founded in 2009 by Julien Viaud and Antoine Gentil, Mômji is the leader in creative, English-speaking childcare. With nationwide coverage in France's 10 main conurbations and more than 3,000 families, the company generated sales of over €12 million last year, 85% of which in the Paris region. This merger consolidates the respective strengths of the two companies, and provides families with a comprehensive range of home-based childcare services. Mômji will benefit from the group's tools and support, and will be able to expand in the provinces thanks to Kinougarde's locations.
