The SLP GENEO Dirigeants et Entrepreneurs is an alternative investment fund dedicated to unlisted SMEs and ETIs, and reserved for professional or similar investors. Investing in unlisted assets involves specific risks.
The capital initially invested by unitholders may not be returned to them. The life cycle of a private equity fund can be represented by a J-curve, where the net performance of the initial investor only becomes potentially positive after several years.
The minimum investment period is 5 years. Consequently, an investment in the SLP is not suitable for an investor wishing to sell his or her units before this date. Beyond this minimum holding period, the articles of association provide for an annual withdrawal mechanism, under certain conditions described in articles 10 and 13 of the SLP's articles of association.
The portfolio of SLP GENEO Dirigeants et Entrepreneurs is made up of shares in GENEO Capital, an FIA invested in unlisted companies. The majority of GENEO Capital's investments are in equities and securities giving access to capital (such as bonds convertible into shares), which are not admitted to trading on a financial instruments market, and whose liquidity may be low or non-existent. This fund presents a high liquidity risk. Due to the nature of its assets and operating procedures, you may not be able to sell your units at any time or within a short timeframe.
The performance of the SLP depends largely on the success of the underlying FIA (GENEO Capital) and the companies in which it has invested. Investors therefore bear an inherent risk associated with the underlying French and European SMEs and ETIs, whose performance may be affected by unfavorable factors (market conditions, competition, health crisis, war, etc.), which could lead to a fall in the net asset value of SLP units.
